GMT Announces Record Revenues, Earnings for 2008

Continued strong momentum fueled by significant new client wins, territory expansion, new product introductions

February 16, 2009 -- Norcross, GA

GMT Corp., a global industry leader in enterprise workforce management and performance optimization solutions, today announced the company’s 2008 fiscal year results. Marking the company’s strongest financial performance in its history, the record-breaking year saw a string of successes that resulted in record net income; its fifth consecutive year of year-on-year revenue growth representing a compound annual growth rate in excess of 30%; and an increase in bookings of more than 44% over 2007.

The company’s impressive financial results were as a result of adding new clients across all of the company’s geographies as well as significant system expansions from existing clients. GMT increased its client base by approximately 20% by adding new clients across its contact center, retail banking and back office businesses. New clients added in 2008 include PRC, a top-5 U.S. retail bank, Research Councils UK, Mighty River Power, and others. GMT has also expanded its market footprint by signing several new business partners including CallCopy, Ubertas, and Zintel. The company’s workforce optimization solution, GMT Planet®, was lauded by Communications Solutions magazine with a Product of the Year award. The company also expanded its product line in 2008 by releasing version 9.7 of GMT Planet and introducing GMT On-Demand™ for Retail Banking, a full-featured Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering geared to retail banks and credit unions. Of particular significance was GMT’s divestiture of its GMT CashMaster currency supply chain product to financial services software giant Fiserv. The move left GMT as a pure-play, enterprise workforce optimization company, completely focused on the unique needs of this market.

Paul Stockford, chief analyst at Saddletree Research explained, “GMT continues to impress with its ability to grow, especially during the challenging market conditions of the past year. During 2008 GMT further solidified its reputation as an innovative market leader with its drive to bring workforce optimization into other high-value areas such as the enterprise back office and the retail banking storefront in addition to the contact center. Their ability to add new customers, recruit new partners, and expand their relationship with their existing clients is a testament to the value their solutions deliver.”

“Our performance in 2008 is a direct result of the value our clients receive from GMT Planet and GMT SureServices,” said Simon Angove, chief executive officer of GMT. “Despite a challenging macroeconomic environment, our clients see our product and service offerings as ‘must-have’ investments to help them thrive and survive. We expect to see 2009 as another significant growth year for us through our continued expansion across the enterprise as well as growing our network of influential partners.”
