GMT CEO to Speak at BAI Retail Delivery Conference and Expo 2007

Co-presenting branch network workforce optimization case study with BB&T Bank EVP

November 12, 2007 -- Las Vegas, NV - BAI Retail Delivery Expo

GMT Corp., an industry leader in enterprise workforce management and currency supply chain solutions, today announced that Simon Angove, GMT Corp’s CEO, will speak at the Bank Administration Institute’s (BAI) Retail Delivery Conference and Expo, the largest gathering of financial services and banking executives, accomplished and visionary industry experts, and cutting-edge solutions providers from around the world.  Angove will be co-presenting a half-day workshop with John Charles Thompson, executive vice president of branch operations for BB&T Bank.

The session, entitled “Breakthrough Workforce Optimization Strategies Without Breaking the Bank,” will focus on how workforce optimization addresses the critical need of financial services organizations to optimally balance customer service, sales and labor costs.   The co-presenters will present a BB&T case study to illustrate how the bank has leveraged workforce optimization as a source of competitive advantage.  BB&T — a decentralized community bank with a reputation for high touch, high quality service — deployed GMT Planet, an award-winning workforce optimization solution, to boost service quality and customer loyalty while at the same time reducing labor expenses and increasing sales productivity.

“Despite all of the change in our industry and within our organization, one thing that has remained constant is our philosophy that our people are our greatest source of competitive advantage,” commented BB&T’s Thompson.  “Client service and loyalty are driven by each client experience, each moment of truth.  And while we’re constantly focused on delivering the highest level of service, we also need to face the competitive realities of the marketplace by keeping our labor expenses in check and making the best use of our people.  GMT has made us believers in workforce optimization.”

“Research has shown that labor expense in bank branches continues to rise while bank customers continue to cite poor service as the primary reason for switching banks,” added Angove.  “When you add in the low sales productivity figures seen in many banks, you can see the potential value-creating opportunities of workforce optimization.  We’re excited to have the opportunity to share the details of our work and show how we’ve enabled BB&T to address these challenges by optimally balancing client service delivery, expense control and effective time management.”

The “Breakthrough Workforce Optimization Strategies Without Breaking the Bank” workshop will be held on Monday, November 12 from 1:00-4:00 pm.  GMT Corp. will be exhibiting in booth #445 at the BAI Retail Delivery Conference and Expo in Las Vegas from November 13-15, 2007.  For more information on the event, visit: www.bai.org/retaildelivery.
